Easter fundraiser for CCMI

FORT MYERS, Fla. (April 14, 2011) – Tickets are still available for a chance to win a spectacular Easter creation. Norman Love Confections has partnered with the Red Sox Foundation to raise funds that will enable Community Cooperative Ministries Inc. to launch CCMI Food Factory, a new nutritional program. The sixth annual Bunnies for Babies showcases Norman Love Confections’ chocolatiers who dedicate their time each year to create extra special eggs and bunny centerpieces as a benefit for those in need. Tickets are $5 each. Those purchasing a ticket and donating nonperishable food will receive one free ticket. The four mega-sized bunnies and chocolate creations have been designed and produced by the artisans at Norman Love Confections. The Red Sox Foundation is donating a pair of Major League Baseball-authenticated Fenway Park seats and autographed baseball memorabilia that will be included in the raffle. Tickets may be purchased at the NLC Chocolate Salons in Fort Myers and Naples, Boston Red Sox store at City of Palms Park and CCMI in Fort Myers. The drawing will be held at noon Friday, April 22 at the Chocolate Salon in Fort Myers. One hundred percent of the proceeds will be donated to CCMI. Ticket holders need not be present to win; an NLC purchase is not necessary.

The 2011 Valentine’s Collection features eight heart-shaped chocolates, including four Love & Kisses flavors, packaged in special heart boxes, as well as in Norman Love Confections’ green gift boxes, along with an assortment of 36 signature flavors.

“To better meet the needs of our valued customers, we will be open Sunday, Feb. 13 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.,” said Chef Norman Love. “We want to ensure that we can assist all the romantics who are searching for the ideal gift to give their loved ones, friends and secret admirers.”

This year’s Valentine’s Collection, made with the finest and freshest ingredients, includes:

  • Red Hot Love: milk chocolate confection filled with a cinnamon milk chocolate ganache (Love & Kisses) 
  • True Love: simple yet sophisticated single-origin dark chocolate ganache in a dark chocolate shell (Love & Kisses)
  • Berry Kiss: puree of fresh wild raspberries, blackberries, blueberries and cherries mixed with white chocolate ganache in a white chocolate shell (Love & Kisses)
  • French Kiss: dark chocolate confection with a Madagascar vanilla bean and white chocolate ganache center (Love & Kisses)

Through Dec. 24, customers of Norman Love Confections could discover a piece of Mark Loren Designs’ jewelry worth $300 to $3,500, or a NLC gift certificate hidden in a box of chocolates. Chocolate certificates are in the quantities of $25, $50 or $100.
