ESTERO, Fla. (Oct. 3, 2014) – Satisfying that craving for Norman Love’s chocolates, pastries and gelato treats has just gotten easier with the opening of the company’s new location at Miromar Outlets in Estero.
It is the fourth location for Norman Love Confections, which operates Chocolate Salons in Fort Myers and Naples as well as Artisan Gelato in Fort Myers.
Not only will the Miromar location offer chocolates, pastries and gelato, it will do so from 10 a.m. until 9 p.m. six days a week and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information, call 239-672-8787.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 1, 2014) – Norman Love Confections is observing Breast Cancer Awareness month by recognizing breast cancer survivors with a special promotion. Anyone who purchases a special pink, heart-shaped box of 20 ultra-premium chocolates, priced at $40, during October is invited to share the story of a breast cancer survivor. At the end of the month, one survivor will be chosen to become a member of the Chocolate Club, entitled to a shipment of Norman Love Confections every month for a year. Each shipment will contain 15 pieces, hand-selected by the confectioner’s chocolatiers, with boxes decorated for the season.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 25, 2014) – Norman Love Confections’ pink pumps are making an encore appearance to help promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and they are available only during October. The award-winning chocolatier has launched a monthlong fundraiser with proceeds from the sales of the $28 milk chocolate high-heel pumps supporting Susan G. Komen Southwest Florida.
The shoes, originally conceived by Maura Metheny, head of chocolate design and product innovation at NLC, are five inches tall, 6 1/2 inches long, three inches wide and made of 150 grams of ultra-premium chocolate. Three dollars from each shoe will benefit Komen.
ESTERO, Fla. (Sept. 23, 2014) – Work is underway on Norman Love Confections’ fourth location, a new chocolate salon at Miromar Outlets in Estero. Scheduled to open in early October, the 1,100-square-foot confectionary boutique is located at the east end of the shopping complex, opposite Ford’s Garage.
“We’re eager to bring our chocolates and gelato to this vibrant part of Southwest Florida,” said Norman Love. “The salon also will offer pastries, crepes and coffees, and our pastry chefs are exploring the possibilities of special varieties to appeal to Miromar Outlets’ international shoppers.”
The salon also will serve sundaes, cookies, brownies and a variety of hot and cold beverages and will be open seven days a week.
FORT MYERS, Fla. (Sept. 17, 2014) – For the second year in a row, Pastry Chef Denise Elliott, with Norman Love Confections, has won the Florida Pastry Challenge gold medal at the Florida Restaurant & Lodging Show’s American Culinary Federation Culinary Arts Competition in Orlando.
Elliott was honored with the prestigious award for her chocolate centerpiece based on this year’s theme, “Florida’s Farm to Table.”
“This was a great opportunity for Denise to showcase her talents to a statewide audience of culinarians,” said Norman Love. “Our pastry chefs are consummate professionals which is illustrated in competitions as well as every day at Norman Love Confections.”
