FORT MYERS, Fla. (Oct. 31, 2011) – The U.S. Marine Corps Reserve is looking for a few good toys and Norman Love Confections has enlisted to help Collier County with this year’s Toys for Tots program.
Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to noon, toys will be collected at Norman Love Confections in Naples. To sweeten the deal, donors bringing new unwrapped toys will receive a free four-piece box of Norman Love Confections.
The Naples Salon of Norman Love Confections is located at 3747 Tamiami Trail North in the Parkshore Centre. One box per donation (not per toy), per family; while supplies last.
“My wife Mary and I can’t imagine a child not receiving at least one toy at Christmas,” said Norman Love. “We hope our partnership with Toys for Tots will bring smiles to a lot of children in Collier County.”
Toys for Tots, run by U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, collects unwrapped toys for distribution to children whose parents cannot afford to buy gifts for the holidays. The toy drive gathers more than 25,000 toys and distributes to more than 7,000 Collier County underprivileged children. The program also donates toys to other Collier County agencies for needy and abused children and women. For more information, visit www.marinecorpsleaguenaples.com/toysfortots.html.
