Norman Love Confections Announces the creation of 3 Gourmet Chocolate Edible Art Easter Sculptures to be in a Raffle to Benefit Kids with Cancer and Blood Disorders, Handcrafted Chocolate Sculptures Benefit Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at Children’s Hospital.
FORT MYERS, FL—March 25th, 2010—Norman Love Confections (NLC) announced today the opportunity for customers to win one of three Gourmet Chocolate Edible Art Easter Sculptures in a raffle where 100 percent of the proceeds will be donated to The Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at The Children’s Hospital of Southwest Florida.
Founder of NLC Norman Love, one of North America’s Top 10 Chocolatiers, explains he met Dr. Emad Salman, who heads up this specialized program for children with cancer and blood disorders, through joint philanthropic work and instantly gained respect for Dr. Salman’s work with children facing life threatening illnesses.
“Dr. Salman is very humble and committed to these children. I can’t even begin to comprehend what he goes through daily,” Love says. “I admire what he does and his commitment to the kids and their families.”
Each year NLC raffles chocolate sculptures and with Easter being a children’s holiday, Love says he wants to ensure Dr. Salman receives 100 percent of the proceeds for his work.
“I have dedicated myself to help him and his efforts to improve kids’ lives,” Love adds. “I am a chocolate maker that makes people happy and it makes me, my wife Mary and my staff happy if we can in turn help these children smile.”
These amazing chocolate showpieces are on display at the NLC Chocolate Salon from Monday, March 22 to Friday, April 2, and raffle tickets can be purchased for $5 for a chance to win one of these centerpieces. Tickets are only available for sale in the Fort Myers Chocolate Salon located at 11380 Lindbergh Boulevard, off Daniels Parkway, in Fort Myers.
Love divided his team into three to design and create these creative Gourmet Chocolate Edible Art Easter Sculptures. One features bunnies on a beach and surfing, whereas another showcases rabbits fishing in a boat with elaborate sea life and the third depicts an Alice and Wonderland theme.
“Norman Love continues to amaze us with his generosity. He has supported the Children’s Cancer Program for many years and continues at every opportunity to come up with innovative ideas to raise awareness and funds to provide care for children afflicted with cancer,” Dr. Salman says. “His work not only involves fundraising but also providing confectionaries to children with cancer at every opportunity.”
“We are eternally grateful for his efforts,” Dr. Salman adds.
